Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Assessment and Approvals team in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver environmental assessment and approvals services to clients, including project planning and management, public engagement, and regulatory support.
- Conduct and manage technical projects for clients, including baseline surveys, sample collection, and monitoring.
- Develop and implement methodologies for environmental assessments, and coordinate logistics for field programs.
- Prepare technical reports and deliverables for clients, including analytical tables, estimates, and proposals.
- Support existing teams and work independently to deliver projects to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years of environmental experience, with a strong background in environmental science.
- Relevant professional designation, such as P. Biol or EP, would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Word and other current software used in data collection, compilation, and presentation.
