Technical Support Senior Analyst for Building Automation Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Senior Analyst to join our team at Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. in Brossard, Canada.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Technical Support team, Research & Development team, and Sales team to provide exceptional technical support services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to technical questions from customers regarding the use of our controllers, solutions, and control systems network management software.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex problems via online or phone support.
  • Update customer databases and log internal notes following all customer interactions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of available tools and internal processes used by the support team.
  • Provide field support as required.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles to assist customers efficiently.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma (DEC) or a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in technical support, IT, HVAC, or controls.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in:
    • HVAC Systems
    • NiagaraAX/4 Framework
    • Electromechanical Building
    • Instrumentation and Controls
    • Programming
    • Process Control
  • Relevant experience in the installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Programming and configuration of computer networks or IT systems.
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of control system protocols such as BacNet, Echelon, LonWorks, Modbus, EIB, or others.
  • Experience and/or qualification in a related domain as a trainer.
