As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for selecting and purchasing products for our business, processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance, and liaising with inventory teams and management. The specialist will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.

The ideal candidate should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and select quality products and materials.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing.
  • Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
  • Update inventory and optimize stock levels, maintaining accurate records.
  • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as required.
  • Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
  • Utilize purchasing/inventory management software and tools to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of procurement & inventory software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • On-site role with approximately 25% travel.
