About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Fitness Instructor to join our team in Brockville, ON. As a Fitness Instructor, you will play a vital role in implementing exercise and education programs for seniors, focusing on increasing mobility, pain relief, building strength, and improving balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver exercise programs tailored to meet the needs of seniors, promoting independence, cognition, mobility, and quality of life.
  • Monitor residents while utilizing exercise equipment, ensuring safe use and proper infection control practices.
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports and basic metrics on participants, providing data as requested.
  • Support the development and implementation of programs and objectives, contributing to the ongoing education of residents.
  • Collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Kinesiology, diploma in PTA/OTA, or other relevant post-secondary education.
  • First Aid (CPR & AED) Certification.
  • Experience working with seniors and group programming is an asset.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Mandatory requirement: As per the Ministry of Long-term Care and the sites we service, Lifemark Seniors Wellness staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
