Job Overview

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join our Fixed Income team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the platform and infrastructure Book of work for the entire Fixed Income technology, working closely with FI Senior Management and External Infrastructure partners.

The role requires a strategic focus on hardware planning, forecasting, and optimization, as well as EOVS/VTM/Tech Debt planning and remediation, environment setup, and maintaining risk and control scorecards green for 150+ applications across Fixed Income.

The position involves bringing automation for upgrade tasks, saving thousands of hours for Development and infra teams alike, and supervising multiple Infra leads, Developers taking care of sub-lobs asks and projects, and an overall team size of 15-20 spanned across NAM, EMEA, and APAC.

The role also includes optimizing the CTI Infrastructure TCO of about $58 million at Fixed Income level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies to meet business strategy goals and demonstrate in-depth understanding of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives.
  • Lead and motivate a team, conducting managerial responsibilities such as performance evaluation and management, employee selection, compensation, budget management, and resource planning.
  • Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas.
  • Provide services by using insights from stakeholder/partner relationships, actively seeking information to understand issues, expectations, and needs.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards and recommend reengineering efforts for continuous improvement.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources.
  • Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills and negotiate with external parties as needed.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Requirements
  • 8+ years relevant experience in technology.
  • 8+ years hands-on experience with Programming languages like Java, Python.
  • 8+ years hands-on experience with Databases like SQL Server and BI tools like Tableau.
  • Good experience in Infra as Code using Ansible.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly.
  • Methodical, attention to detail.

Estimated Salary: $185,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
