Emergency Medicine Physician

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team at Hants Community Hospital. As a key member of the emergency department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
- Collaborate with the department head for emergency medicine to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to medical staff bylaws
- Full-time position with flexible shifts, including 10-hour day shifts and 14-hour night shifts
- Single coverage shifts available
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Hants Community Hospital offers a range of services, including 24-hour emergency department, inpatient care, long-term care facility, and surgery programs. The hospital is approximately 40 minutes drive from the region's tertiary care pediatric facility and the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre.
