About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Hants Community Hospital (HCH). As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician
  • Responsible to the department head for emergency medicine for professional responsibilities and quality of practice
  • Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
Expected Hours
  • Full-time position available
  • 10-hour day shifts and 14-hour night shifts available
  • Flexible shifts each month
  • Single coverage shifts
Qualifications
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians
  • Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Current PALS Certification
  • Current ATLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
