About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Lead Engineer to join our team at Kent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading electrical design and engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design and engineering projects, including conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical design teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement electrical design standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Conduct electrical system studies, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonic analysis.
  • Design and develop electrical layouts, including electrical substations, e-houses, and cable trays.
  • Prepare and review electrical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure electrical equipment meets project requirements.
  • Perform electrical system testing and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including electrical one-liners, electrical diagrams, and electrical reports.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, including electrical distribution systems, electrical substations, and electrical equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate electrical design teams.
  • Experience with electrical design software, including ETAP and SKM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct electrical system studies and design electrical systems.
