Job Opportunity

Software International is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Network Researcher to join their team in Toronto or Waterloo, ON.

About the Role

This fulltime position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge DCN technology research and contribute to the development of next generation tech that will impact the world.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with research and development experience in designing and developing data center networks, distributed systems, or computer architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in data center networks, focusing on network optimization for large-scale AI clusters and cloud computing networks.
  • Design protocols and algorithms in the transport layer to improve end-to-end performance for computing, cloud, and storage applications.
  • Collaborate with HQ experts and corresponding product lines to promote the implementation of designs into commercial products.
  • Follow the latest progress in industry and academia, attending meetings and writing technical insight reports.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with research and development experience in designing and developing data center networks, distributed systems, or computer architecture.
  • Understanding of data center networks, distributed systems, compute architecture, AI, cloud computing, or related technical directions.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or P4 programming.
  • Knowledge of communication protocol stacks and transport algorithms.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong ability to engage effectively both internally and externally.
What You'll Get

This role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $125,000 as base salary, plus bonus and benefits.

Location: Toronto or Waterloo, ON.
