Adult Psychiatrist

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) in a specific catchment area.
About the Role:- Provide psychiatric care to clients with SPMI in a team-based model, working collaboratively with community partners and primary care.
- Employ a flexible switching system to ramp up or down services as needed, depending on individual client need.
- Work in a recovery-oriented, evidence-based best practice, using Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) principles.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in educational activities and academic teaching appointments, as desired.
- FRCP(C) in Psychiatry and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Experience in psychiatric specialties, including adult psychiatry, addictions, and SPMI.
- Commitment to community-based services and demonstrated understanding of social and cultural diversity.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and various database software.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
