Job Summary

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Glazier to join our team. As an Apprentice Glazier, you will assist experienced glaziers in the installation of glass, mirrors, and other glass products in commercial, industrial, and installation settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a secure and watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in physically demanding environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
