Job Title: Production Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

Honda Canada is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Production Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sales and Production Planning department, you will be responsible for providing optimal vehicle supply for Honda Canada and our dealer network in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate production plans to meet Honda's inventory standards and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with North American Production Control, American Honda, and production facilities to ensure smooth production and delivery of vehicles.
  • Analyze dealer order requests, sales trends, and model inventory levels to recommend vehicle allocation strategies.
  • Oversee supply and sales review meetings to set future vehicle orders for factory production.
  • Upload requested dealer orders into the DRiVE allocation system and apply orders to dealer plans.
  • Perform model maintenance tasks, including uploading model/trim/option/colour/pricing information into computer databases.
  • Participate in system enhancement projects and execute continuous improvement solutions.
  • Support new vehicle launches by working with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • University or College Degree/Diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management required or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent understanding of Honda's policies and procedures.
  • Previous analytical role and/or understanding of supply chains.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive business an asset.
