Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team at VK Machining & Manufacturing Ltd. The successful candidate will assist our metal fabrication team in various tasks, including operating metal cleaning equipment, assisting structural steel and platework fitters, and sorting metal sheets and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Assist Metal Fabrication Team: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in various tasks.
  • Sort and Organize Materials: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform Manual Tasks: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, clean machines and immediate work areas, and load and unload vehicles.
  • Polish Metal Products: Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Set Up and Operate Machinery: Set up and adjust production machinery/tools and set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a large workload. The position requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and excellent oral communication skills.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
