Job Title: Welder-Fitter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team at VK Machining & Manufacturing Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in various tasks related to metal fabrication and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
  • Assist in sorting metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Load and unload vehicles.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

What We Offer:

We offer a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, working in a general manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train and develop their skills in metal fabrication and manufacturing.
