Job Summary

Comfort Keepers Kelowna is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality nursing services to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. As an LPN with Comfort Keepers Kelowna, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Specimen Collection: Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing as required.
  • Ensure Infection Control: Implement and maintain infection control practices to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Monitor Nutritional Intake: Assess and monitor clients' nutritional needs and provide guidance on healthy eating habits.
  • Observe and Record Medication's Therapeutic and Side Effects: Monitor clients' responses to medications and record any adverse effects.
  • Take Vital Signs: Measure and record clients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide Safety and Health Education: Educate clients and their families on safety and health practices to promote healthy living.
  • Provide Nursing Services: Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to clients based on assessment and care planning procedures.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for Licensure: Be eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination: Have completed the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.

  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
