About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Laundry: Launder clothing and household linens.
  • General Maintenance: Wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.

Requirements:

  • Security and Safety: Bondable.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required, walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability, values and ethics.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, permanent position, 30 hours per week, English language, English speaking environment.
