Job Title: Steel Detailer

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our team at Millennium Steel Inc. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and supervising other drafting personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy
  • Supervise and train other drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and construction specifications
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for construction projects
  • Write technical reports and specifications for construction projects
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
  • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Computer and technology knowledge, including AutoCAD
