Steel Detailer

We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our team at Millennium Steel Inc. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and supervising other drafting personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy
- Supervise and train other drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work
- Develop and prepare design sketches and specifications
- Estimate costs and materials for steel fabrication and construction projects
- Prepare contracts and tenders for steel fabrication and construction projects
- Write technical reports and specifications for steel fabrication and construction projects
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in steel fabrication or construction
- Excellent oral communication and team player skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to examine drawings for conformity and errors
