Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at Cristhian's Carpenter & Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth execution of projects, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
Requirements
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Green job with positive environmental outcomes
  • On-the-road job with transportation provided by employer
  • Support for newcomers and refugees, including no Canadian work experience required
  • Support for youths with on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Supports for visible minorities with hiring policies that discourage discrimination
Work Environment

This is a temporary position with a 40-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
