Job Title: Family Doctor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Doctor to join our team at Atlantic Medical Centre.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. This includes conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and prescribing medications as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and document patient medical history and current health status
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations to identify potential health issues
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including infections, injuries, and mental health conditions
  • Prescribe and administer medications, as well as order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as needed
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy habits, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care
Requirements
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
