We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Doctor to join our team at Atlantic Medical Centre.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. This includes conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and prescribing medications as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and document patient medical history and current health status
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address patient health concerns
- Prescribe and administer medications, as well as order laboratory tests and X-rays
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide education and support to patients on healthy habits, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices to provide evidence-based care
- College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
