Job Summary

An employee hired to perform custodial duties is responsible to the Director of Operations or designate.

This is a permanent position with a 25-hour workweek, 12 months per year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the secure, safe, and sanitary conditions of the facility and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors, including stripping and waxing.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Operate and care for equipment related to the position.
  • Make routine repairs and develop work methods in agreement with the Director of Operations or designate.
  • Report maintenance concerns to the principal/vice principal.
  • Check daily with the school principal/vice principal for specific school needs.
  • Complete daily checklists of duties.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent or willingness to obtain.
  • Driver's License would be considered an asset.
  • Experience/formal training in cleaning in a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Computer skills would be an asset.

The successful applicant will be subject to the terms of the Criminal Records Review Act.
