Support Service Administrative Assistant

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual looking for a challenging role in a dynamic organization? We are seeking a Support Service Administrative Assistant to join our team at Anishinabek Employment & Training Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to our team, including answering inquiries, responding to emails, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other records as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring that calendars are up-to-date.
  • Manage physical and digital files, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
  • Support staff members with various projects, which may include research, data collection, and analysis.
  • Help plan and coordinate events, such as workshops and seminars, which may involve tasks like booking venues and arranging catering.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or projects as needed to support the efficient operation of the office or department.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
  • Public relations skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with others and to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
  • Ability to use computers for Word, Excel, and other programs.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work from our office.
