Job Title: Nephrologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join our team at the University of Manitoba. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases related to the kidneys, as well as prescribing medications and treatments. You will also be involved in ordering lab tests and x-rays, and consulting with other physicians as required.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Health Sciences Center and will have a non-GFT, NIL academic appointment within the Section of Nephrology. The position is for a term to be negotiated, renewable upon favorable review. The candidate is expected to provide direct contact teaching of undergraduate medical students, participate in post-graduate teaching of residents, and attend academic functions in the Section of Nephrology.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat diseases related to the kidneys
- Prescribe medications and treatments
- Order lab tests and x-rays
- Consult with other physicians as required
- Provide direct contact teaching of undergraduate medical students
- Participate in post-graduate teaching of residents
- Attend academic functions in the Section of Nephrology
