Job Title: Nephrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join our team at Manitoba Health. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases related to the kidneys, as well as prescribing medications and treatments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat kidney diseases
  • Prescribe medications and treatments
  • Order lab tests and x-rays
  • Consult with other physicians as required
About the Role:

The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Health Sciences Center and will be part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working together to deliver high-quality kidney healthcare and education.

The position is for a non-GFT, NIL academic appointment within the Section of Nephrology, and the successful candidate is expected to provide direct contact teaching of undergraduate medical students, participate in post-graduate teaching of residents, and attend academic functions in the Section of Nephrology.

Further academic training and skills would be an asset, and the candidate would be encouraged to participate in research and quality initiatives.
