Job Summary

As a Radiology Support Aide with Fraser Health, you will play a vital role in the delivery of client care in a high-volume acute care medical imaging environment.

This position requires a healthcare assistant with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport clients to and from required areas using stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Assist technical and nursing staff with lifting and transferring clients.
  • Provide support to clients with dressing and/or bathroom care needs.
  • Assist with procedures such as biopsies and sort, number, and label specimens.
  • Maintain supplies for various carts, cupboards, trays, rooms, and storage areas.
  • Clean equipment and supply areas as required.

Requirements

  • Successful graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program.
  • One year's recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Eligible for registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
