Job Summary

Tomoda Healthcare Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an RPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including home care and visiting care agencies, nursing homes, and chronic or long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation of patient records
  • Apply aseptic techniques and sterile dressing to prevent infection and promote healing
  • Conduct specimen collection and monitor nutritional intake to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
  • Provide technical assistance to surgeons and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files
  • Take vital signs and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
Requirements
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check and driver's validity licence check
  • Immunization records and tuberculosis test
  • Vulnerable sector check and eligible for professional liability insurance
