About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Tosa Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and leading a team of cooks to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, inventory, and sales
  • Train and supervise cooks in preparation, cooking, and presentation of sushi dishes
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Lead and instruct individuals in sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 people in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing kitchen environments
