About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at QC Quality Carpet Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of carpet installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with carpet, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Underlay and Underpadding Installation: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to provide a smooth and even surface for carpet installation.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, ensuring a precise fit and smooth finish.
  • Resilient Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including hardwood floors and other types of flooring.
  • Damage Repair and Removal: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Specialized Installations: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, and employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting.
  • Estimation and Costing: Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs (Note: This responsibility may not be directly related to carpet installation, but is included in the original job description).
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license to travel to various job sites.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, bending, crouching, and kneeling as required.
  • Work Term and Hours: Work on a permanent basis, with a standard 40-hour workweek.
