About the Role

Mosaic Forest Management is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal – Real Estate to join our team in Nanaimo, British Columbia. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for preparing agreements and documents related to land use, including access agreements, leases, and easements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and draft legal documents for land use agreements, leases, and easements;
• Liaise with internal and external parties, including preparation of correspondence;
• Conduct LTSA and BC Online searches;
• Conduct legal research and due diligence searches;
• Administer an efficient bring-forward and calendar system for dates and correspondence;
• Retain documents, reports, and research notes on internal systems;
• Perform administrative tasks related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a commercial real estate paralegal;
• Strong knowledge of real estate terminology, contracts, and forms;
• Understanding of BC land title system;
• Proficiency with applicable online databases – BC Online, LTSA, etc.;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Highly dependable and adaptable with a great work ethic;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal computer systems.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $72,600 to $90,750. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
