About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the University Health Network. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting clients through their recovery, applying your hands-on knowledge, skills, and abilities in the treatment of orthopedic disorders, chronic pain, and the rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat clients and enable them to reach their fully functional and work reintegration potential in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Perform cross-functional duties and cross-site duties, as assigned or requested.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address the physical, psychosocial, and behavioral issues related to injury or illness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • A minimum of two years related experience in the treatment of clients/patients with work-related injuries and/or experience in the third-party health care system, with strong FAE and Return to Work planning skills.
  • WorkWell certification preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with report writing is an asset.
  • Hand therapy experience is an asset.
