Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Strategic Community Director to join our dynamic team at Sunrise Senior Living - Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the overall success of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and build relationships within the local area to drive business into the community, effectively pricing the product to maximize top-line revenue growth and achieve a strong market position.
- Leadership: Provide clear direction and structure for the team, guiding them towards achieving team goals and embracing workforce diversity.
- Coaching and Developing Others: Provide feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities, actively building a qualified internal pipeline for community roles.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Strive for excellent quality care and service delivery, instituting corrective action in a timely manner, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Family Services: Maintain monthly proactive communication with resident family members, overseeing the planning of in-house family events, and implementing a family support program.
- Financial Management: Prepare and adhere to the community budget, reviewing monthly financial statements, and implementing plans of action for deficiencies.
Requirements
- Education: Previous management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, and leading a team through change.
- Skills: Passion for working with seniors, demonstration of success in managing operating expenses, proficient in organizational and time management skills, computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications.
- Certifications/Licenses: Administrator's License/Certification may be required per state/provincial requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
Selected candidates will be offered competitive compensation based on geographic location, skills, experience, qualifications, and certifications/licenses (where applicable). Additionally, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, retirement savings plans, employee assistance program/discount program, paid time off (PTO), sick time, holiday pay, and daily pay offered to get paid within hours of a shift.

Salary Estimate
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
