Key Responsibilities- Interpret medication orders and prescriptions, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications.
- Assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, taking into account patient demographics, laboratory data, and standardized references.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members to resolve prescription-related issues.
- Provide instructions on proper use, administration, and storage of medications, as well as potential side effects.
- Participate in medication use evaluation projects, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials.
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Knowledge of drug distribution processes in a hospital setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare practitioners and patients.
