Clinical Nurse Leader

Southlake Regional Health Centre seeks a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team.
As a Registered Nurse at Southlake, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Providing patient-focused care within the RN scope of practice, based on the three-factor framework of the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Functioning in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, including emergency codes.
• Ensuring that practice is consistent with entry to practice competencies, standards of practice, guidelines and legislation.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families and all members of the healthcare team.
• Practicing collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to provide care for patients/clients with complex health issues.
• Providing consultation and/or clinical support to peers as needed.
• Contributing to the assessment and documentation of each patient's health status on an ongoing basis.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of the Plan of Care and evaluates its ongoing effectiveness.
• Assisting in the orientation/preceptorship of new staff members and students to the clinical units.
• Acts as a role model and champion to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.
• Takes a leadership role in the coordination of patient care in assigned area
• Assumes charge nurse role when assigned
• Effectively utilizes human and material resources
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical pathways
• Provides consultation and/or clinical support to peers as needed
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/delegate.

The successful candidate will have recent experience working in a medical or surgical nursing unit within the last two (2) years, RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario, Current BLS certification required, ACLS Preferred, CC1 or equivalent to be successfully completed within three (3) months of hire - in house course provided and supported financially, if required, Safe Management Group Violence Prevention Training required or to be successfully completed within three (3) months of hire - in house course provided and supported financially, if required
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, including training programs and mentorship. This role offers a salary range between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
