We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Mahalakshmi Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train sales staff to meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
- Assign sales staff to duties and ensure adequate coverage of the sales floor
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
- Establish work schedules and ensure efficient use of staff time
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Supervise and coordinate activities of sales staff, including sales floor operations and customer service
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
