Job Title: Google Cloud Developer

Mission-driven MBR Partners is seeking a skilled Google Cloud Developer to join our team of innovators. As a key member of our consultancy, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, optimize, and maintain applications that leverage GCP services.
  2. Develop, deploy, and manage applications and services on the Google Cloud Platform, utilizing various GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and more.
  3. Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code using programming languages like Python, Java, or Go.
  4. Design and implement data storage solutions using GCP's storage services such as Cloud Storage, Bigtable, Firestore, and BigQuery.
  5. Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud-based applications by implementing best practices for authentication, authorization, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
  6. Collaborate with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous deployment strategies.
  7. Optimize application performance through load testing, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services, application functionality, and performance bottlenecks.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP offerings, tools, and best practices, and recommend their adoption to improve system architecture and efficiency.
  10. Document design decisions, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience as a software developer with a focus on designing and building cloud solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
  3. Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Go, etc.).
  4. In-depth understanding of GCP services and their use cases, including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
  5. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
  6. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
  7. Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and application issues.
  9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  10. Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Developer, Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) are a strong plus.
  11. Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is beneficial.
  12. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
