About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Nancy O's. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize kitchen performance.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training programs for cooking staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, as well as for special guests or functions, to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods to meet the dietary needs and preferences of customers.
  • Procure food and kitchen supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
