Job Title: Environmental Law Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Environmental Law Professor to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental law and a proven track record of teaching and research in this field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental law, including theory and practice of environmental law, environmental policy, and sustainability.
  • Conduct research in environmental law and policy, with a focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to advance the university's research and teaching goals.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and courses in environmental law and sustainability.
Requirements:
  • LLB or JD degree from a recognized university.
  • Significant work experience (5+ years) in the practice of environmental law, including litigation, in the public or private sector.
  • Significant work experience in administrative and regulatory law in the public sector.
  • Experience teaching university-level environmental, regulatory or administrative law courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in environmental law or a related field.
  • Experience in research and development of environmental policies and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
