Job Title: Delivery Driver

VHAUL MOVERS INC. is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle to transport goods and products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive vehicles: Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, vans, and light trucks, to pick up and deliver goods and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive to customer needs.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and products.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods and products from vehicles, taking care to ensure safe and secure transportation.
  • Navigation: Use maps and other trip planning aids to navigate routes and ensure timely delivery.
  • Record Keeping: Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G driver's licence, which allows you to operate cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of goods and products.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as required.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and assistance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a delivery or transportation role is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Hours of Work: Work 35-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
