About the Role:

We are seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Yarrow Limited Partnership. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support to our patients and residents in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to monitor their health and well-being
  • Deliver meal trays and feed patients who require assistance
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and respectfully
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments to ensure seamless communication
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to promote a comfortable living environment
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to care for our patients
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients who require assistance with personal care
  • Transport patients between care facilities and within our building to promote independence and mobility
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher to ensure safe and comfortable transfers
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly and professionally
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations to provide immediate care and support

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, tuberculosis test, and Adult Abuse Registry check to ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients
