Your Opportunity:

As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centered care in a variety of settings, including home, community, and healthcare facilities. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and caregivers to support activities of daily living, provide comfort and support services, and promote safe and quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistance and support services to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support
  • Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist nurses with the provision of routine care, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
  • Observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum may also be considered.
