Job Title: Liquor Store Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liquor Store Manager to join our team at Otter Co-op. As a Liquor Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our liquor store, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation and management of the liquor store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the Area Manager and lead the team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Ensure the store's merchandising standards are being managed and maintained, and all programs are being implemented, measured, and managed.
- Directly responsible for team member relations, including hiring, training, and development, and performance management.
- Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
- Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in progressive retail management positions with a proven successful track record.
- Liquor, retail, and/or guest service background preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
- Solid basic math skills and ability to read and understand financial reports.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
- Self-starter with motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
- Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain relationships both internally and externally to support the organization.
- Valid Serving it Right Certificate required.
