About the Role
Arrow Transportation Systems Inc is seeking a skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for hauling wood fibre locally in B train trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and road-worthiness.
- Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, load securement, and driver's hours of service.
- Record and maintain relevant paperwork, including bills of lading and documentation.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers and CB radios to exchange information with bases and supervisors.
- Complete electronic logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Class 1 truck driver's license and a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- At least two job references.
- B train experience is an asset, as is mountain driving experience.
