Gas Fuser Technician

Volker Stevin Contracting is seeking a skilled Gas Fuser to join our team. As a Gas Fuser, you will be responsible for performing fusions on gas pipes and providing a full installation cycle of gas facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure and stake gas lines in the correct locations.
- Ensure all tees are tested, tracer wire installed, and staked correctly.
- Document all deviations from line assignment, changes in fitting location, or requirements for as-built records.
- Complete all required pressure testing of ATCO facilities and submit approved test documentation at the end of the project.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Ability to complete live gas tie-ins safely and professionally as per ATCO requirements.
- Understanding and familiarity with all ATCO-required work procedures.
- Certified ATCO fuser up to 8" for both pipe and tee is preferred.
- Ability to interpret ATCO gas prints.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- ATCO Gas Fusion certification is preferred.
- Experience with outdoor construction labor and heavy equipment operation is considered an asset.
- Class 5 Driver's License; clean Driver's Abstract.
- Physical ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
- Demonstrate professionalism, detail-oriented approach, and effective verbal communication skills.
