Mathematics Educator and Learning Coach

We are currently seeking a part-time Mathematics Educator and Learning Coach to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Erin Mills.

This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about mathematics education and has experience teaching or tutoring students at the high school level.

As a Mathematics Educator and Learning Coach, you will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels and following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, and vectors.

You will also be responsible for filling in post-lesson notes, completing daily student communication updates, and maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

In this role, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, and will be rewarded with smiling faces and high-fives during every shift.

Oxford Learning offers a competitive hourly rate of $17 - $19 per hour, making this a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable teaching experience while working part-time hours.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, and some experience teaching or tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level.

You will also need to have strong English written and oral communication skills, strong math skills, and the ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
