About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSE plans and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure HSE compliance and best practices
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on HSE policies and procedures
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related field, such as construction or environmental health and safety
  • Intermediate to senior level experience in HSE, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Degree or diploma in a related field, such as environmental health and safety or a related field
  • Professional designations, such as CRSP or CHSO, are an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
