Job Title: Culinary Development Specialist

The Culinary Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving the accelerated development of significant culinary initiatives at Aramark. This position is responsible for creating operational culinary support tools that drive demand and contribute to Business Unit growth and operational excellence.

This role will collaborate closely with the Canadian Culinary Innovation Center team and engage with operations, marketing, procurement, and preferred supplier partners to deliver high-quality results.

The Culinary Development Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager of Culinary Innovation and work closely with the product development, health & wellness, and procurement teams, as well as other Aramark business and support personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop recipes that reflect consumer insights, current trends, flavor profiles, and competitive strategies, ensuring relevance to channel, quality tier, brand, food cost, and nutritional guidance.
  • Coordinate with Global Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure quality products are used in development and are in broad distribution, facilitating seamless field execution and exceptional consumer satisfaction.
  • Create training tools, including build diagrams, operational flow diagrams, and key ingredient lists, and conduct operational training sessions as required.
  • Leverage strategic relationships with manufacturers, consultants, trade councils, commissions, and boards to drive thought leadership and innovative development.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Arts degree
  • Red Seal Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience, post-degree completion
  • Experience with new concept, menu, and recipe development
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, recipe database
