Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Community Support Worker to join our team at WJS Canada. As a Residential Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote the goals and aspirations of our clients.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as household chores, meal preparation, and personal care.
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and leisure activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Model healthy relationships and boundaries, promoting positive behaviors and social skills.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or Social Work.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with complex needs in a community-based setting.
  • Valid BC Driver's Class 5 License and clean driver's abstract.
  • Positive behavior supports experience and Trauma-informed care an asset.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate (Mandt), and Conflict Resolution Certificate (or ability to obtain within probation period).
