About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Officer to join our team at the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing coordination and assistance in budget preparation and analysis of financial reports for various division budget areas.

You will maintain all financial records and perform various other functions associated with daily administration, including payroll, HR reporting, management guidelines, records management, inventory control, correspondence coordination, and other miscellaneous administrative and office work.

Primary Accountabilities

You will provide administrative support to the Director and Managers within the Forestry, Resource Stewardship, and Economical Development Divisions as required. You will also provide functional supervision and training to multiple administrative support positions.

Qualifications and Experience

Successful candidates will have completed two years of post-secondary accounting training and three years of related experience. An acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.

A working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles is essential. You must demonstrate a sound understanding of computerized financial systems such as SAP (or equivalent) and must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.

Pay Grade: TE 18

Salary Range: $1,864.28 - $2,189.32 Bi-Weekly
