Hamilton Kent Inc. is seeking a skilled Splicing Technician to join our team. As a Splicing Technician, you will be responsible for splicing rubber strips to form circular gaskets using heated moulds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure mould temperature is set prior to splicing
  • Prepare rubber strips for splicing, including dipping, sanding, heating, and cleaning
  • Verify rubber strips for straight cuts and clean ends
  • Load tape rolls into tape machines and inspect quality
  • Load gaskets into presses and insert splicing tape
  • Close moulds and remove gaskets
  • Inspect gaskets for cracks, nibs, lumps, and other defects
  • Inject silicone into gaskets and break splice seals
  • Pack finished gaskets and verify quantities
  • Document and record all required information

Requirements:

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • Ability to use measuring tools related to gasket manufacturing

Working Conditions:

  • Almost 100% of time spent in the plant environment
  • Light physical labor, lifting, pulling, standing, and walking
  • Exposure to heat and light press equipment
